Mermaid Tail In Progress.

Hello everyone,

Tandy here, Lately we've been into mermaids and of course we know that they don't exist but that doesn't mean we can't become one! We were inspired by Hannah Fraser, a well know mermaid model and actress from Australia. Her tails are really nice and we decided to make one ourselves. Here is a picture of her most famous blue tail that is now retired with a broken monofin.

So now we are on a mission to create our own tails. We've figured out what we need to make our own tail, and that is Swimsuit material, a monofin, flexible plastics such as floor matting or curtain fringing material, a sewing machine, a zipper that wont rust and anything you want to design your tail with. We pretty much have everything to make the tail except for the monofin and the flexible plastic. We ordered the monofin though and it should be here by Thursday and we are getting the flexible plastic at Home Depot.  Mandy made designs for our tail (Their really good), here are some pictures.

This is the waist to ankle part.

This is the fin detail.

And this is the end result.

We went to the fabric store to find swimsuit material and these were the only colours left, they have a scale looking pattern which is perfect but we are probably gonna add some stuff to it later.
Here are some pictures.

Tanisha's tail is Teal.

Mandy's tail is Purple!

This is the pattern.

In the above pictures of our tail colours, you can also see a shall that is a few shades lighter then our tails. That is what we are going to use as decorations on our tails. They will be attached to the fin and also like the Hannah Fraser picture all the way at the top, they will be shredded into long strings on our sides and back. So when finish we will have pictures and maybe a video or two. Have fun making your own!

Lush Products Review.

Hi everyone,

Tandy here, today we tried out a facial mask called Catastrophe Cosmetic that we bought at Lush. At Lush you can buy 100% organic products. This means that there are no chemicals in their products, which is really good for your skin. This mask has blueberries inside shipped from Vancouver. The little blue bulbs are packed with vitamins for the skin, while the calamine mixed in gets down deep to clear out built up grime, you can only use it 3-2 times a week and it cost us $5.95 plus tax.

This mask has to be stored in a cool area (i.e a fridge ) so that its kept cool. It can go without a fridge for 5-6 hours but the only downside to this mask is that it expires in 2-3 weeks from purchase. To apply the mask you must smooth a good dose of Fresh Face Mask all over your skin, don't let it completely dry out and wash it off just before it gets crusty. Here are some pictures of us wearing this mask.

We also bought a cleanser from Lush called Herbalism. It has Kaolin clay, ground almonds and herbs which work to gently scrub away and lift grime from your pores. Rice vinegar helps to absorb excess oils and chamomile soothes your face. To use this cleanser you need to take a pea- sized amount of it, mix it with water in the palm of your hand making a paste and massage it into your skin than rinse and dry. After you're done washing your face with it your face feels soft and hydrated. The only thing we don't like is the smell, but its okay i guess.
We don't have pictures of us using it but heres a picture of how it looks.

Coastalscents package arrived.

Hi everyone,

Mandy here, Today my package finally arrived from Coastalscents after 18 days. Everything was packed carefully so that it wouldn't break while being shipped. They also had a check list inside the box so I could dubble check evertyhing. For the people that didn't read my previes post, I orderd Black Soap, Unrefiend Shea Butter, Diva Divense Powder and Pristine Cleaning Blend. With my order I got a free make-up pencil bag but I'm using it for my lipsticks because I only have two pencils lol.

I bought the black soap as a wash for my face. It's been breaking out lately and nothing is helping. Black Soap is a product of nature so it's 100% organic. This is better than all the chemical facial washes they sell in the stores. Ghanaians have used Black Soap to help relieve acne, oily skin, clear blemishes and various other skin issues. Black soap leaves the skin smooth and soft & as a facial soap it is excellent for clearing acne.

I also bought Unrefiend shea butter as a moisturizer for my skin.
Shea butter has been used for centuries in Africa. It is used to moisturize and protect the skin from sun, wind, heat and salt water. it is an excellent skin moistener and is used for aging skin. The unique formula of Shea butter also helps prevent and protect dry skin providing temporal relief from irritation, dryness and wind burned skin.

The Diva Defense Primer is basiclly a make-up base for the face and eyelid. This product helps to minimize the appearance of fine facial lines and pores. This sheer lightweight powder is safe for use by all skin types, especially those with oily skin. It provides a healing layer of minerals and calms acne breakouts. I didn't have a primer yet so I'm really excited to use this one.

The Pristine Cleaning Blend that I  bought is a make-up remover for the face. Pristine Cleanser with Grapefruit & Green Tea Extract quickly removes makeup and dead skin cells. The extracts work to bring out your skins healthy and beautiful appearance. I'm not too sure about this product but for $4.00 I was willing to give it a try since my other make-up remover drys my skin.

This was my order from Coastalscents, I'll do a review about the products in a week when I used them all. I aslo placed a second order for the 88 original palette and the contour blush palette. They were on sale so instead of $18.95 I payed $12.50 each. They should arrive in two weeks.

Day out.

Hi everybody,

Today we went to Spring Ridge Farm (springridgefarm.com). It's a farm Tanisha used to go to when she was younger. The reason we went there was to go strawberry picking, which we did but we also looked around the farm. They had animals and cornstalk mazes. There was a lookout at this high hill on the farm where you could see all of Toronto.

The farm is a good place for families and young children. You can feed the animals, pet them and take pictures of them. Theres also a tractor ride that takes you around the farm.
We went on the second last day of Strawberry picking season, and next week it will be cherry season so we want to go there and get some too. They used to have pony rides but they took that away for this summer because of the heat.

Mandy Strawberry Picking ^.^

The LOUD peacock!

After strawberry picking we left and went glow in the dark mini golfing which was $10.50 each. They give you matching glow in the dark balls and bracelets.
It was pretty fun but it annoyed us at some parts when we couldn't get the ball in. There were a lot of people so we had to rush and wait for the people in front of us. Other than that it was a pretty fun day!
Here are some pics!

Tanisha's birthday! part 2.

Hi everyone,

Today it's sunday and we decided to continue celebrating Tanisha's birthday. Because I (Mandy) was pretty pissed off about my Tattoo so I was all sad on her birthday. So today we went to Johnny Rocket at sq1 we always wanted to eat there so why not for Tanisha's birthday. The service was really good and so was the food. We had fries, burgers, pop and a brownie for desert. The total of eating there was $30 and we gave a $5 tip.

After that we went to go buy Tanisha's rollerblades. We are the same size and they are the same so we match now. There was a sale going on so we also got free hand, knee and elbow protectors. So now we can rollerblade without our mom and grandmom complaining how dangerous it is to go rollerblading without protection.
To end the day we bought tickets to go watch Bad Teacher at Empire Theatres. I (Mandy) was wearing a tank top and a skirt so I was worried that I was gonna be cold in the theatres so we went to Walmart and bought a blanket each, to keep us warm during the movies.

During the movie there was a power out and we got scared because we started thinking of final destination. After about 10 minutes the power went back up and we finished watching the movie. I think everyone bonded in the theatre cause when the power went down we all started making jokes and everyone laughed at it. That was pretty much our day.
Enjoy the pictures.

Tanisha's birthday! part 1.

Hi everyone!

Yesterday was Tanisha's birthday (Happy birthday Tanisha!).
We did a little shopping at sq1, after that we went to get our matching tattoo's at pleasure and pain. It was $90.40 inc tax. First of all it took them like forever to give us a artist second of all they gave us the worse artist there. The guy didn't know how to draw a simple question mark. The first one he drew was too big and the second one was too pointy. We kept pointing it out to him and we think he got a little frustrated with us because he started swearing.

After he failed drawing a simple question mark on us, he started to complain how he hated taking the marker off. So I (Mandy) suggested to draw the question mark myself so he copied it of off my hand onto Tanisha's hand. I wanted Tanisha to go first so that she wouldn't be so nervous. After he was done with her, the tattoo looked good and Tanisha looked very happy. Then he started to do mine. At certain areas it hurt alot. I think he was trying to hurt me on purpose because he was annoyed that I didn't like his drawings.

This photographer was making him laugh while he was doing my tattoo and he kinda messed my tattoo up, so were gonna go back there on monday for a touch up. Another thing that we didn't like was that he didn't tell us how to take care of the tattoo or how to wash it and he didn't give us any cream. We've been using Vasaline because the store is closed until Monday.

Tumblr Meetup Review!

Hai everyone!

Today we went to Canada's Wonderland to check out a tumblr meet up that was going to take place at 3:00 p.m. BUT last minute changes occurred and it was changed to 3:30 p.m. So after waiting half an hour for the meet up, and only seeing about four people with tumblr shirts we spotted the host. She got to the bridge looked around, didn't see the meet up and kept walking.

Tanisha was pretty sad :(

Literally barely anyone was here!

After the sad half hour we left and decided to go on some rides. The weather was hot and sticky and the sun hurt our heads after a while and the rides did too, so we decided to go across the street and eat.
We went to Little Caesars, and we got a medium pizza (8 slices) and crazy bread. We didn't want to sit outside so we went over to the Tim Hortons and got a drink so that we could stay in there and eat but not get kicked out.

Tanisha was trying to sleep on Mandy's lap.

Our heads started to hurt after a while of sitting there, we were also getting sleepy... And so, around 7:30  our ride came for us and took us away from Tim Hortons back to our home! We were pretty tired so when we got home we took naps. Anyways, our review on this tumblr meet up... We were and still are really disappointed, we thought that this one would be really good since its Wonderland, but i guess we got over excited for nothing :(

  Goodnight!
